Terms & Conditions

The Site is operated by The Scent Shop, a business registered and operating in Sri Lanka. Our registered office is located in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

We are an authorised reseller of authentic designer fragrances. We do not manufacture or produce any of the products sold on this Site. All brands and product names remain the intellectual property of their respective owners.

Every product sold on thescentshop.lk is 100% authentic and sourced through authorised distribution channels. We do not stock, sell, or knowingly handle counterfeit, grey-market, or non-original goods.

Product images are for illustrative purposes only. While we make every effort to display colours and packaging accurately, minor variations may occur between the image shown and the product received, particularly across different screen settings.

We reserve the right to withdraw any product from the Site at any time and to decline any order at our discretion.

All prices displayed on the Site are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Delivery charges are additional and will be shown clearly at checkout before payment is confirmed.

Prices are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Any price change will not affect an order for which you have already received a payment confirmation.

We accept the following payment methods:

• Visa, Mastercard, and American Express (online).
• Cash on Delivery (selected areas only — please confirm availability at checkout).

By providing your card details, you confirm that you are the authorised cardholder or have the cardholder's explicit permission to use the card. We reserve the right to request identity verification for high-value or flagged orders.

We currently accept payments from Sri Lanka-based cards and delivery addresses only. We do not process cards registered outside Sri Lanka.

If a product is incorrectly priced due to a technical error, we reserve the right to cancel and refund the order, notifying you as soon as the error is identified.

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected Products at the stated price. A binding contract between you and The Scent Shop is formed only upon our sending you a payment and order confirmation by email.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion — for example, where stock is unavailable, a pricing error has occurred, or we are unable to verify payment. In such cases, any payment already made will be refunded in full.

We deliver across Sri Lanka. Estimated delivery timelines will be displayed at checkout and in your order confirmation. These are estimates only and not guaranteed.

Deliveries will be made to the address provided at checkout. We are unable to deliver a single order to multiple addresses. Please ensure your delivery details are accurate before confirming your order — we cannot be held responsible for failed deliveries resulting from incorrect information.

If you are unavailable at the time of delivery, our courier will attempt to contact you to arrange redelivery or an alternative arrangement.

Occasional delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to adverse weather, high demand periods, or logistical disruptions. We will communicate any known delays as promptly as possible.

Risk in the Products passes to you upon delivery. From the point of delivery, you are responsible for the Products, except where they are found to be damaged, faulty, or incorrectly supplied at the time of receipt.

Ownership of the Products passes to you only upon our receipt of full payment, including any applicable delivery charges.

We accept returns and refund requests within 7 days of delivery, strictly if your order arrives damaged or broken, the product received does not match the description on our Site, or an incorrect item/quantity was dispatched.

To initiate a claim, please contact us at hello@thescentshop.lk within 48 hours of receiving your order with your order number, description, and photographs/video evidence.

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind. Opened, used, or unsealed fragrances cannot be returned under any circumstances unless they were received in a damaged or faulty condition.

For approved returns, courier pickup will be coordinated, and courier charges for both collection and return delivery are borne by the customer.

To the fullest extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, The Scent Shop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site or purchase of Products, including but not limited to loss of profits, business, or opportunity.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Sri Lankan law.

We are not liable for delays or failures in performance arising from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, civil unrest, government actions, courier failures, or any other force majeure event.

All content on the Site, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of The Scent Shop or is used with the permission of the relevant brand owners. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from the Site without our prior written consent.

Brand names, product names, and trademarks referenced on the Site remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on this Site does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those brand owners beyond our authorised reseller relationship.

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details of how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Site and placing an order, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon being published on the Site. Your continued use of the Site following any such change constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.

Any changes will not affect orders already confirmed prior to the date of the amendment.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

All transactions and communications on this Site are conducted in English.
